The private security sector is one of the fastest growing job fields in
the country today, and we offer the professional training needed to obtain or renew your California Guard Card. The Academy
offers Phase One, Phase Two, Phase Three, and Renewal courses.
Phase One training includes 8 hours of instruction which includes powers
to arrest and weapons of mass destruction. Phase One training is required before Live Scan printing and an F.B.I, and D.O.J.
Background Check is conducted. All applicants for a California guard must pass the background investigation before a card
Phase Two training includes Observation and Documentation, Communication,
and Liability and Legal Aspects of Security.
Phase Three Training includes Officer Safety, Workplace Violence, and Crowd
A total of 24 hours of training must be completed within 30 days of
receiving a California Guard Card, and each officer must finish another 16 hours of training within 6 months.
Officers must also complete 8 hours of renewal training annually to keep his/her card valid.
